Q&A

Q1: How long is the product warranty?

A: It’s one year from the date of purchase.

Q2: Do I need to charge the new battery separately before installation?

A: You do not need to charge the new battery before installation.

Q3: When the voltage of the lithium iron battery falls below 12.8V, please charge immediately. How do I charge the battery?

A: Please use the charger meant for lithium-iron batteries. The charging voltage cannot exceed 14.5V10A.

Standard charging: Use a 14.5V/5A charger.

Fast charging: Use a 14.5V/10A charger.

※It’s recommended that you don’t charge for longer than 2 hours.

Q4: How do you correctly install the battery?

A: It is recommended that the installation and testing be conducted by a professional technician. When installing, please remove the negative pole (-) of the old battery first before removing the positive pole (+). For new batteries, install the positive pole (+) first before the negative pole (-) into the battery compartment. Please be sure to tighten the screws as to avoid the terminals loosening during jumps while driving.

Q5: After installing the battery, how do you conduct a test?

A: Please use a multi-meter or professional battery testing equipment (hook meter). Make sure to check the battery after installation to avoid overcharging, which will result in bulging or battery deformation, or undercharging, which will result in discharge.

a: Idling after starting: 12.9V – 13.5V (when the headlights are on) – recharge current to above 2A.

b: When the throttle is increased to RPM 2000-3000, the voltage should be 13.5V – 14.5V.

c: The voltage should not exceed 15V.

d: A variety of motorcycle models available on the market means that the electrical system needs to be diversified in order to meet different needs.  This will result in a small amount of power consumption (dark current) even when the power is off. If the motorcycle is left not driven for too long, then the battery will over discharge. Therefore, it is recommended that if the motorcycle has not been used for 2 consecutive weeks, then it should be recharged before use. Lithium iron batteries are different from traditional lead-acid batteries, so please use a lithium iron charger for charging.

Q6: How do you select the appropriate lithium-iron battery?

A: Please select the appropriate lithium iron battery according to the motorcycle’s cc number.

Customers can choose the same or a higher CCA as the original configuration. For example, if a customer has originally installed a lead-acid 7B battery, they can choose LF-09 (equivalent to LF-07 plus) or the LF-10 or LF-12 models with higher CCAs. By choosing the higher CCA, the motorcycle will be easier to grasp, start, and be more powerful! In order to meet the needs of our customers for higher-end batteries, we have thoughtfully used the same size battery casing as 7B as the base to create different battery options (LF-09, LF-10, LF-12). A black, fireproof foam has also been included, which customers can attach to the battery as a spacer, so that they can easily put in the battery of their choice according to the size of the battery slot!

Q7: What should I do if the battery malfunctions?

A: Please fill out our motorcycle condition and lithium iron battery form or provide relevant information to the dealer or dealership where you originally purchased the battery. Then return it for a replacement or repair at your discretion according to the reason why the battery failed.

Q8: Why do your batteries save 5-10% more fuel than lead-acid batteries?

A: Since the higher voltage provides more power to the spark plug, this will allow for the high voltage coil of the spark plug to generate more arcs. A faster engine means a shorter magnetizing time, and therefore a faster and more stable voltage is generated. Our lithium iron battery has a high-instantaneous discharge, so it can provide a stable and high current to maintain the power supply for the ignition of the spark plug during the short instantaneous magnetization period of the high-voltage coil. The battery, which plays the role of auxiliary power, will have high instantaneous discharge, a fast response time, and a stable power supply as to ensure that it can supply electricity for the air conditioner, headlights, and stereos, and ultimately reduce fuel consumption.
